Terms of Use
Your account
- Give accurate account details and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Accounts are personal. Don't share your login or let others use your exam access.
- The ATLAS iOS app uses the same account as the website.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page or the app's Profile tab, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Exam access and payments
- Each exam is unlocked separately. Access may be free or paid, may come from a promo code, and may have an end date. Access ends on that date unless it's renewed.
- The price and length of any paid access are shown before you buy it on the website.
- Deleting your account doesn't refund any exam access or subscription you've paid for. Any remaining access ends when the account is deleted.
- The iOS app doesn't sell anything. It gives you access to the exams already on your account.
- For questions about a payment or your access, email study.atlas.program@gmail.com.
Our content
The Manual, flashcards, practice problems, schedules, presentations, videos, games, artwork and the software behind the Services belong to ATLAS or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own exam study while your access is active.
Please don't copy, resell, redistribute or publish ATLAS content, share it outside the Services, or scrape or bulk-download it.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you create: forum posts, comments, notes and your own flashcards. By posting in the forum or comments, you let us display that content to other ATLAS users as part of the Services. Notes and My Deck cards are private to you.
Acceptable use
When you use the Services, please don't:
- Post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful or spam, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- Post copyrighted exam material you don't have the right to share.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the Services, or access other people's accounts.
- Use automated tools to access the Services, except the official ATLAS apps.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Study material, not a guarantee
ATLAS is an independent study platform. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), and exam names are used only to describe what our material covers.
We work hard to keep content accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it's complete or error-free, or that using ATLAS will lead to passing any exam. Always check official syllabi and exam announcements. ATLAS content is for exam study and isn't professional actuarial, legal or financial advice.
The ATLAS iOS app
If you use the iOS app, Apple's App Store terms also apply. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, and isn't responsible for supporting it. For help, contact us at study.atlas.program@gmail.com.
Disclaimers and liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise they'll always be available or free of errors.
To the fullest extent the law allows, ATLAS won't be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or study time. Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for exam access in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending access
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we have to stop offering the Services. If we stop offering the Services entirely, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Services change. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know by email or with a notice on the site. If you keep using the Services after a change, you accept the updated terms. Questions: study.atlas.program@gmail.com.
